The primary focus of this project is to assist Akkadian International’s GSOC service in Ukraine using AtlasNXT. Akkadian International have been providing security services including their 24-hour serviced GSOC (Global Security Operations Center) to NGOs, broadcast and media organisations, local charities, and multinationals in Ukraine since the conflict began last February. AtlasNXT partners with Akkadian International in order to support organisations with their mission to rebuild Ukraine, in a hostile environment which remains both unpredictable and incredibly dangerous.
Phase 1: Akkadian’s GSOC & AtlasNXT’s Critical Event Management Feature as a Travel Risk Management solution: Akkadian International’s GSOC is supported by AtlasNXT’s Critical Event Management feature. AtlasNXT’s live map-view and intuitive dashboard is managed by Operators in a control room in Ukraine.
Phase 2: Close Protection via a Quick Response Force & AtlasNXT’s Overwatch feature as a Travel Risk Management solution: Akkadian International’s Close Protection Services in Ukraine are held together by their QRF (Quick Response Force), an armed response team, supported by AtlasNXT. The QRF protects their clients on ‘missions’, from points A to points B. The QRF assists with anything from missile strikes, to approaches from local authorities, requests for documentation, or even ambushes by gunmen. The QRF sit in armed SUV’s, with AtlasNXT’s Overwatch feature running on tablets or smartphones, enabling the AtlasNXT Operators in the GSOC control room to always have eyes on their teams’ exact location. If the QRF requires assistance at any time, a panic button is activated through Overwatch and immediate assistance is offered using Overwatch’s direct messaging feature. The QRF mark themselves as either ‘safe’ or ‘not safe’ whenever requested by their Operators.
Ahead of ‘missions’, with journeys spanning multiple locations across Ukraine, Akkadian International uses the AtlasNXT dashboard to conduct thorough travel risk assessments, using location-based risk intelligence data feeds. These are pulled onto an intuitive heatmap and can be selected as either AI or analyst led. In-depth analysis of information provided by the dashboard, such as the number of incidents and casualties which have taken place at set locations, along with the ‘safest’ time of day to travel at, enable Akkadian International to plan the ‘safest’ routes possible for the organisations they protect with their QRF teams, to take across Ukraine. One of many of the journeys which has been recently tracked was the complex ‘mission’ to Mykaliov, Ukraine.
It is essential for Akkadian International’s site management, that they are aware of who is at which sites in Ukraine, at which time. When users check-in at specific sites, passing through pre-set geofences, the AtlasNXT Operators receive activity alerts and app users are sent relevant, targeted information which will inform them to best manage and mitigate risk on their missions.
AtlasNXT serves as a custom-fit solution for Akkadian International in Ukraine, providing lifesaving support to their existing security services and GSOC, whilst protecting international NGOs, broadcast and media organisations, local charities and large multinationals. When AtlasNXT’s Overwatch feature is activated, an Operator has full visibility of the location of personnel over a time-bound period. The Operator is alerted if personnel stray from their planned route at any time and communications are easily exchanged with both AtlasNXT’s direct and broadcast messaging features.
